Trusted Care for Pets, Plants, and Homes Since 1996
Amy has been caring for animals since she was 12, starting at a veterinary clinic as a kennel technician. She has worked in veterinary offices across the country, learning everything she could about animal health and behavior. In addition to her veterinary experience, Amy has studied holistic healing techniques like flower and color essences, homeopathy, and Reiki massage. She’s a certified Pet First Aid instructor. Currently, she is enrolled in the “Trust Technique” practitioner course, continuing her education in pet care.
Amy is a lifelong pet lover and shares her home with dogs, cats, parrots, reptiles, and fish. She also has a house full of healthy, happy houseplants—and she’s set to care for your plants, even if you don’t have pets!

Paul Lameris
Paul joined Unique Pet Care in 1999 after working as a general contractor. His background in home care and maintenance has been a great addition to our services. He’s provided animal care from Amy over the years, including how to give medications and connect with shy or anxious pets.
As a co-owner of many pets alongside Amy, Paul has gained priceless insight into pet behavior and communication. Living with such a variety of animals has helped him develop a deep understanding of how pets express themselves, what they need, and how to make them feel safe. His calm, easygoing nature naturally brings comfort to the animals he cares for—and it shows in the way they respond to him.
Paul and Amy are not only married, they are partners in providing comfort and peace of mind to pet owners. Whether for a weekend or on an extended vacation, your pets, plants, and home are well cared for, just like you would.
